Affiliate Training | The #1 Thing You Can Do To Piss Off Your Subscribers!

So we all have our set of creative messages for our subject bar to get our subscribers to OPEN the mail so they can see what the offer is right?

Good!

One major focus when setting up your email campaign including the

“Follow Up Sequence” as well as “Broadcast Messages” is to be creative with the subject line. Yes, making it interesting enough to captivate and build that sense of curiosity or “hey this looks cool” thought process.

While these subject line captures are usually honest from most of us..

uh huh hmmm(you know who you are..)

Some folks just don’t get it.

Over the past few weeks, some ding dong out there has been teaching affiliate marketers that market to affiliates complete crap!

Here’s the subject line..

“Congratulations You’ve Made A Commission”

What moron is telling newbie affiliates to do this? It’s WRONG and it will discredit you if you pull a tactic like this.

Most affiliates count on seeing those pretty little subject that say this but only when it’s true.

I myself looked at one thinking it was from one of my vendors, then I got a bunch more. What a waste of effort. It’s one thing to get your mail opened.

But it’s whats inside that counts.

So here is what the body of the content says…

Dear Rhonda

If I said to you this industry is full of BS would you agree? (Yes I would Agree and this is BS right here in this line after reading the subject line.)

Well, let me tell you this…

I make commissions every week because I know how to market. (WRONG)

My Corporation LLC?

BizInBox_PromoMidAs most of you know, I have been an entrepreneur for right around 20 years.

I have owned S-corps and have LLC’s with partners that I run businesses with currently.

Until recently, I had pretty much paid through the nose for lawyers to take care of my documents and filings off line.

It is amazing to me how much I have saved in the past few years just by utilizing the internet to get it all done quickly and cheaper than ever. Now, in most cases I will not even use the word cheap when it comes to doing business. So, please do not assume because something is lower in cost it is automatically cheap. Make sense?

Here is what I have gotten my hot little hands on this week for a new partnership that was just formed for a development company.

Business in a Box! When I first saw the add that screamed out FREE LLC., I laughed and said “Yeah Right!”bixinaboxsnip

So, I couldn’t resist the temptation to click on the link so I could roll my eyes and privately breath out; “You Guys Suck!”

Well, they don’t.

The link which I now have proudly on my pages as an affiliate proved to be more than what I would have guessed.

I was taken to a page that was titled My Corporation. Now, normally, I would use Legal Zoom and have in the past. They have always done well with my online docs.

However, when I realized that My Corporation was owned by Intuit, that’s when it got interesting.

They do have a simple LLC that you can get for nothing..Zip,Ziltch,Nada..

Be aware, I would personally never to the free one. It is not enough! period!

So, then I see this Business in a Box deal. It is the premium but that’s the way I roll.

There is one lower than the premium that will do just fine for most. What I wanted was the whole enchilada that they had to offer. It is the same package as what you would get with L.Z. but has some goodies included that you can’t get with The Zoom!

So this is what I just picked up and I am pleased as punch to have it.

Oh, and the customer support? They are all over it. I love them!

So, Out the door for our new LLC, with my personal extras, just over $400.00

My last S-corp cost me right around $2,000,00. NEVER AGAIN WILL I PAY THAT MUCH!

Just thought you would all want to know about this if you are considering forming an LLC for your online business.

Is Your Email Campaign Set And Ready For The Holidays?

The holidays are rapidly approaching and you need to be ready for some sweet results!

A few things you need to start doing now so you can get in on the
buying rush…

Make sure you keep your email subscribers updated on the products
you are promoting.

In your auto responder account, schedule out your email promotions to
be sent on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Over years of my own studies as well as many of my fellow marketers
we all know the trends in buying habits and time frames on mental
stimulation.

People by nature are in a hurry to get things done and out of the way.

Mondays are usually not a good day to sell product or even grab

someones attention. People are just getting back in the work groove from the week-end and will not have time for the most part to even open your email.

Tuesdays, are good because your customers have had a chance to settle
down a bit after Monday’s tasks.

Wednesday are alright but not great.

Thursday’s have always been my biggest selling days.

Fridays are kind of the fall off day. People that are in the work
force, are concentrating on getting everything tied up for the week-end.

Saturday and Sunday are also alright but again, not the best time to
capture the attention for most folks.

Get your promotional calender set up now so you are not rushed yourself. This is a piece of cake to do, you just need to sit down and do it.

If you still do not have an auto-responder, you need to get one now!! You will be leaving big money on the table if you don’t.

Competing To Sell Information Products?

So the information age has been around for a quite some time now but when the Internet age started rolling in full swing, the game of selling information changed drastically.

Information sales on the Internet are off the hook and there are millions of people searching daily to get the information they need to fix a problem. AND THEY ARE WILLING TO PAY FOR IT! PERIOD!

It is your job as an affiliate to give those info seekers what they want.

So, how in the hell do you compete against the BIG BOYS with the information products you are promoting?

Develop a fan base of loyal followers.

It’s no secret people buy from people they like. This is sales and marketing…It is not B.S. get rich quick stuff.

Think about what it is that gets you to dig into your pocket and dole out the cash. In information sales, you will more than likely buy from those that you like and trust. The Guru’s of information know this and use it to get the sale.

There are only a handful of them comparatively to the masses in the virtual arena that are really honest and of moral fiber. To compete against them can be difficult if you are not learning from them first.

Let’s look at the world of sports: Weather it’s Football, Basketball, Boxing or a friendly match of Tennis. The athletes, coaches and managers make sure they study the competition. They look at what the competition does and how they do it. And then..They figure out a way to be better than the competition as well as continually work on improving themselves to be the best at what they do. Now let’s take a little look at the fans.

These teams and individuals have loyal followers and a fan base. The fans fall head over hills for their teams and icons. Why? What makes a fan a fan?

Ultimately it is the desire to want to be a part of something great or even a desire and dream to one day be that guy on the field.

Some look for information on how to get big giant muscles while others want to know how to run a successful affiliate business and then there are those that want to be at peace and have a healthy life style. The list goes on and on.

The information seekers will buy from the guy or gal that has done what they are selling. You would not buy a health an fitness program from someone that that looks like they just smoked a carton of cigarettes and ate at a fast food joint for the past year would you?

The folks looking to buy information want to know what you know and then they want to do what you have done with it. In essence they want a little piece of you. That is if they like you and believe you have the right information that will get them to their ultimate goal.

If you are an affiliate promoting information products, there is one big key to selling it. BUY THE PRODUCT YOURSELF FIRST! Review it, make sure it is of great value and then let your fan base know about it. That my friends is the key to competing to sell information products.

Confused About Keywords?

Oh the keyword challenge!

It’s not enough that new affiliate have to struggle with being confused about keywords but even once they figure out how to use them there is still the competition with the big boys out there.

I myself have struggled in the past with this issue. It does take some time to nail it down if you do not have the right mindset and training for it not to mention staying on good terms with Google.

I could go on and on about this subject but I just happen to know of a guy that knows keywords like the back of his hand.

If you don’t already follow him and what he puts out there, you are missing the  BIG BOAT O’ Cash…

So instead of me writing for hours on the subject I am going to drop my ego and gracefully hand you over to the guy that knows it all way better than I do.

New Affiliates “To-Do” List

When starting out as a new affiliate, you should have a “To-Do” list that you will want to go by.

The top three things on your “To-Do” list are as follows:

Purchase A Domain Name:

Before you purchase your first domain name, you will want to think about a subject or niche you are a bit familiar with. It should be something you have passion for ultimately. If you choose something you have a passion for, your chances of success will be much greater as you will be able to convey this to your audience that is looking for the product or products you have to offer as an affiliate. Give your domain name careful consideration and do your best to keep it simple. For example if you have chosen a niche in the diet category, you may want your domain name to be something along the line of “mydietsecret.com”

Get A Hosting Account

Having a hosting account will allow your website to go live on the Internet with your own domain. There are many companies to choose from out there.

One great company that I recommend is HostGator! They have the best prices and the best customer service I have found. They also have one of the best affiliate programs out there that you can start out with right away to put on your pages as an affiliate.

Get an Auto-Responder

Auto Responders allow you to collect email addresses from people that want to be on your email list. They are an absolute must if you want to keep your customers informed on any new items you may have to offer them.

My personal favorite is AWEBER! They are the chosen auto responder in the affiliate marketing arena. They have excellent training tutorial and incredible customer service.

These three things combined will serve s your platform as a serious affiliate marketer.

One other thing you will want to do as a new affiliate marketer is get the right information from affiliates that have been doing this line of work for a while. There are many fly by night companies out there that are not qualified to give you the right answers. There are also many out there that are incredible at what they do. Being an affiliate marketer takes determination and dedication to learning how to do things the right way so you can have a long lasting business that will bring in revenue for years to come.

It is always a good idea to keep a “To-Do” list in your everyday activities so you can have a guideline of what you need to accomplish from one day to the next. I have found that the best time to put my list together is the night before. I then have it on my mind just before I go to bed and know it’s there waiting to be tackled when I get up in the morning.
